Trump and Immigrants
Trump was once our president and may very well be again. If the people vote for Trump again they will be voting for his facist, bigoted, hatefilled character. By now everyone knows who Trump is and what his fantasy polocies are. He spewed the same promissed polocies before his first election and none of it happened. His claim to fame was a wall. It was half finished and stopped no one from crossing the boarder. The mass crossings continued. Between 1890 and 1920 millions of immigrants came to America. That's when we got the nick name "The melting pot". It took years but those people did melt into our society and became our society. And we became a better country for them. It is the mark of America, come and enjoy our freedons. Immigrants are the life blood of America. This infusion of immigrants will not hurt us but make us a stronger country in the future. There are always problems when so many people arrive in a country all at once, but we had the same problems 100 years ago, and it worked out. I am not worried at all, except for the bigotry coming from Trump, which teaches our people to treat them as criminals.
I respectfully and vehemently disagree. Immigration should be allowed LEGALLY. Simply holding the door open for people to come into the nation without doing any vetting of them to see if they are criminals, have communicable deadly diseases, are terrorists, drug dealers, child or sex traffickers etc., only weakens our nation. A nation without defined and protected borders is not a nation. Trump is an idiot, but the wall and his remain in Mexico policy was helping greatly as the amount of illegals dwindled drastically. Now we are welcoming and funding illegals coming to America. What you subsidize, you simply get more of. There are legitimate things to criticize Trump on, but this is not one of those issues. Obama, Biden, and border czar Kamala want illegals in the country as they think that will shift the voting power in the favor in the future. They are the disgusting individuals, my friend.
ReplyDeleteIf the wall worked so well why did mass crossings continue after Trump built the wall? If immigrants are so harmful to America why was the immigration of 1900 not harmful to the U.S.? You have bought into Trump's unproven hatred of immigrants. Where are the facts, not feelings and opinions.
DeleteWhere is the Elis Island of the 21st century. A center point where these immigrants were screened. There were restrictions on those immigrants, but no restrictions on the number of immigrants just screening for disease and criminality. We can do this.
DeleteSam, the wall was not finished and in some cases taken down by Biden. Further, illegal immigration was not stopped. Immigration is good. Illegal immigration is not. The immigrants in the 1900's you speak of often came to American and were proud to be here. Many insisted that their kids speak English and became "American". That is NOT what we are seeing today, sir. And I agree that screening for criminality and disease should be done... as a minimum. We also need to screen for those that are capable of taking care of themselves and not simply coming here to live off of the tax payers of America.
